Our team is also dedicated to working with businessess, schools and colleges to educate from board level and their employees to students and staff in digital security. When you consider how everyone has instant access to the internet these days, it’s crucial that they know how to remain safe online and spot the signs of potential cyber threats. From unsolicited emails and suspicious text messages to harmful links shared on social media channels, our team will explain what to look out for and how to steer clear of malicious activity.
Educating young people in safe online practices is very important, as it will benefit them at school, at home and anywhere they access the internet. Our workshops also come with long-term benefits, as they equip children with vital knowledge that they will carry into adulthood and apply to their careers.
Workshop Feedback
‘We held a Cyber workshop for Year 9 students with Rybec Group in October. Students were able to look at different profiles and find information about the selected people to deduce a variety of personal information. They then looked at different types of scams, phishing and highly intelligent criminal behaviour. This interactive session was excellently delivered the knowledgeable and passionate leads Alistair and Chris, who made our students feel confident and comfortable asking all sorts of great questions. We were then set a project for the students to work on over the weeks ahead to be judged later in the term. A huge thank you to Alistair for choosing our college to deliver the workshop to.
The cybercrime industry is the fastest growing crime, with businesses and people not yet set up to counteract. The skills gap is growing for experts to stop the criminals in their tracks, and our students now have knowledge about this growth industry.’
